The WPGA Net Championship was created in 2017 to allow male and female golfers from a variety of skill levels an opportunity to compete in a WPGA Championship.

The competition, which relies on Net scoring based on Handicap Index™, is divided into multiple flights in accordance with the player’s Handicap Index™, allowing evenly matched fields.

The overall winner of the WPGA Net Championship receives the Richard Falchetti Trophy.

In its early history, the Richard Falchetti Trophy has been won three times by Pat Petit, who claimed three straight victories from 2021 to 2023.

One woman has won the overall title, as former WPGA president Claudette Graham claimed the Richard Falchetti Trophy in 2018.
